I have to be honest I very rarely wear gloss these days. For my normal, day to day make-up look, Carmex works wonders, it helps to nourish my lips, it gives them a slight shine and when the wind blows, I don’t have to shield off my hair, winning!
Now for those days when I do fancy a touch of shine, my go to gloss has always been, the Dior Lip Maximizer. It tingles, plumps and isn’t sticky, as well as adding a clear, even, glistening shine, what more could I want from a lip-gloss?
Recently I was given the Bare Minerals, Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss in Tantalize, it’s a gorgeous nudey shade, and a great subtle colour for an everyday gloss update, and I have to say, I love it! This gloss has a fabulous long applicator, with a slanted angle, which makes for a sleek and smooth application. I loved the smell / taste (yes, I accidentally licked it off), all of the glosses within this Bare Minerals range has a hint of vanilla for a great smell (and taste)! This gloss literally glides on and creates a great even coverage, with a subtle hint of colour, it is not sticky at all and has the perfect shine finish. The only down side is that it doesn’t last that long, one application will hold it’s shine for about an hour, but I am still yet to find a gloss that has serious staying power.
I have also tried out the new Bare Minerals Gen Nude Under Over Lip Liner in the shade On Point, this also works perfectly under or over your fave Gen Nude Lipgloss (hence the name), I would highly recommend for a fab daily gloss!
