I always look forward to the Met Gala’s fashion finds, it is the one time where the guests are given a theme and they have to go with it. It’s the time where they can get daring and wild and experiment with some new fashion choices. Some of the guests took it a little too far, with some looks I found slightly questionable. I was not a fan of Katy Perry’s red mess she had going on, then there was Kim Kardashian’s very simple dress, which I have to admit kind of reminded me of a bed sheet. After checking out this year’s fashion offerings I have selected some of my faves from the red carpet!
Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa
I just love Chrissy! From her constant snaps of deep fried food, to her amazing shut downs on Twitter or maybe it’s just adorable baby Luna, but last night this gorgeous gown by Marchesa made me love her even more! The train on this gown is just amazing and that gorgeous detailing on the neckline and sleeves is perfect!
Blake Lively in Atelier Versace and Lorraine Schwartz
Blake can pretty much pull off any look. The Gossip Girl star looked incredible in this gorgeous gold Atelier Versace gown, I love, love, love that amazing gold, light blue and cobalt blue feather detailing on the train. Blake really does look like a gold goddess in this Atelier Versace number, all finished perfectly with tied back hair and those wonderful earrings.
Cara Delevingne in Chanel
Nobody wears a trouser suit better than Cara, especially when it is a plunging, silver embellished Chanel suit. I loved the plunging neckline with that silver waist belt, but the best part of this whole look has to be Cara’s newly shaved head painted silver, of course!
Zendaya in Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda
Zendaya has fast become a fashion icon, her bold choices and adventurous style always make her stand out from the crowd! Last night she did not disappoint, I loved this yellow and orange, parrot, floral gown by Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda. Not forgetting those natural locks paired with a simple beauty look complete with a bright orange lip, fabulous!!
Hailey Baldwin in Carolina Herrera
I was slightly on the fence with this one when I first saw it but I have to say this look has really grown on me. I love the simple cream bandeau crop top, paired perfectly with that gorgeous tulle tiered maxi skirt, in different cream shades. The look was completed with that fabulous veil headband, paired with simple jewels and a gorge choker!
These were my top 5 looks, I’d love to know which were your favourite Met Gala 2017 red carpet looks!
